Travel & Location
Lauenburg is a picturesque small town situated at the borders of the river Elbe, 50 km upstream of the city of Hamburg.
The nearest airport is Hamburg. The easiest way to reach the city centre is to take the S-Bahn (underground) that arrives directly - every 10 to 15 minutes - to the main railway station.
From the main bus station (ZOB) immediately beside the railway station the bus no. 31 (not E31!) is going every hour to Lauenburg.
From the Lauenburg bus station you can walk to the Zündholzfabrik. The address is: Elbstraße 2, 21481 Lauenburg.
In Lauenburg, we will have the school and accommodation in the "Zündholzfabrik", a comfortable youth hostel in the ancient part of the town directly at the borders of the Elbe river.
The temperature in Northern Germany is usually 12-15 °C at this time of the year.
